After getting off the stage, Al was trying to make his way towards the food tables in the back. He did expect to encounter people wanting to take pictures with him, or to obtain an autograph. The number of people and the amount of time they took, however, were longer than he expected. Or was it because he was kind of in a hurry to get to the back? Al was unsure.
