Everybody Can Help The Environment

We all know famous Indian poet once said, “Life is given to us, and we earn it by giving it.” As the saying goes, nature is given to us, and we earn it by contributing to it. However, most people nowadays just want to ask for more from the nature. In fact, they do very little contribution to the nature. Therefore, the environment around us is becoming worse and worse.

Do you often use batteries? Then do you know it takes 50 times more energy to make them than they produce? And just one si-mp-le battery can pollute as much water as a person can drink in his whole life. The facts and figures are amazing. So would you please try to use batteries only when it is necessary? If possible, give the used ones to the recycling companies so that they will be made into new ones and won’t be able to pollute the environment any more.

Sometimes we become complacent when it comes to recycling, but when you speak in terms of actual facts and figures that everybody can understand, people become much clearer about the problem.

We, as school students, can also join in recycling activities to protect the environment. For example, our class set up a recycling

center beside the back door, it is very useful. It is used to collect the waste pa-pe-r and plastic bottles. In the past, our classmates used to throw all of these into the trashcan. At the very beginning of this collecting activity, it was not so warm-welcomed. Later, more and more people were influenced by the others and joined this collecting activity. Gradually, all the students in our class form a good habit to protect the environment. All of us will now put away the reusable things instead of throwing them into the trashcan.

We should always remember in our mind that protecting the environment is our duty that we can never neglect. Finally would you please let me end this speech with a little poem, “Be kind to the river. Be good to the trees. Smile at the sunshine, and bow to the breeze. Be friendly to nature, and nature will be friendly to you!”

As we all know,the environmemt around us is getting worse and worse some places we can’t see fish swimming in the river or trees on the hills. Some people even have no clean water to drink. So I think we must do something to protect the environment. what can we do? How to protect our environmemt? For example, we can go to school on foot or by bike . we can use shopping basskets not plastic bags we go shopping and we can use both sides of the pa-pe-r when we write a word ,if everyone pays more attention to our environment ,there will be less pollution and our life will be better.

I’m very glad to have the chance to be here; today I’ll talk about my dream.

Everyone has his own dream. I am an ordinary student, I have my own dream, too. That is: I hope everybody protect the earth like protecting their mother.

As we know, we have only one earth. But our environment is damaged; the pollution is becoming worse and worse. If we don’t protect the environment, we will lose the only home.

Several days I listened a piece of news: our capital Beijing area and the city had more dust storms, sandstorm almost bury the developed city, but people don’t realize the problem, they still cut down the trees, pollute the water, destroy the environment, make the soil and water loss. Don't only the forest become into the barren hills, grassland become into the desert, we will suddenly realize?

Everybody please looked up at the sky, it is always grey, and we can’t see the blue sky and white clouds. At night we also can see the moon and the stars were gone. Black smoke comes from the most factories; Went to the street, we often can smell YouYanWei from the cars.

Then let’s look at the rivers, we can’t find the fish, shrimps any more. A lot of factories pour waste water; Pollution can be seen here and there. Everyone, when you see it, aren’t you sad, aren’t pain, aren’t angry?

We are the owners of the earth, we can’t destroy it, and we can't let the environment pollution continue to be down.

In my opinion, we should save a drop of water, not throw rubbish anywhere, plant trees as much as possible in spring...... Let’s protect our home together!

give you a speech. Well, the topic I'm going to deal with is 《Protect the Environment, Protect Ourselves》.

Let me start with a story: A long time ago, there was a huge apple tree and a little boy. They loved each other. As time went by, the boy grew day after day. He began to take all the apples away from the tree, cut off its branches to build houses and then its trunk to make a boat for relaxing. At last, the tree had nothing left but its dying roots as the boy’s seat…....

I'm deeply moved by the story. My friends, how similar the earth is to the old tree! Since thousands of years ago, we have been asking for everything from the earth: water, wood, mineral products and so on. But have we done anything in return even to protect? Mother Earth has become weaker and weaker. What’s more, air pollution, water pollution, waste pollution and noise pollution are all hunting the clean and peaceful land of our own.

At the same time we can't enjoy the sunshine, clean air and water around us! Can't we feel Earth Mother crying?

My friends, something has to be done to protect the environment! As teens, first， we can try to use less water pa-pe-r and electricity. Second, set about recycling. Not only have we made less rubbish，but also we can pay

attention to productive use of cast-off things. Third, organize more people to fight against pollution.

Ladies and gentlemen, the earth that we live is our mother, our only home. It's our duty to take action to protect the environment. And I believe，we are sure to breathe cheerfully and live happily in the near future.
