the one 代指前文提到一件事或某一事物,单数的,有特指

the ones 代指前文提到的复数的`食物,也是特指的

只能用that作为定语从句的关系代词的情况

a） 在there be 句型中,只用that,不用which.

b） 在不定代词,如：anything,nothing,the one,all,much,few,any,little等作先行词时,只用that,不用which.

c） 先行词有the only,the very修饰时,只用that.

d） 先行词为序数词、数词、形容词最高级时,只用that..

e） 先行词既有人,又有物时.

一般情况下that可指人或物,可以代替who,whom和which,在从句中作主语或谓语动词的宾语,但不能作介词的宾语.

由which引导的定语从句

which指物,在从句中作主语或谓语动词的宾语.如：

The book which Mum bought me last week is called"Red Star Over China".妈妈上周买给我的那本书名叫《西行漫记》.

举个定从的例子

this the factory _ you visited the other day?

this factory _ some foreign friends visited last Friday?

当你束手无策时,别管其他,现把它变成陈述句

is the factory 可以看出句子已经完整

然后我们看从句 visited 后面缺宾语吧,然后就可以填that/which

2.主句this factory is缺宾语,从句visited后面也缺宾语吧

这个句子缺两个宾语哦!不能填一个which就打发了它

主句的宾语是some foreign friend visited .

用that 来代替

那么从句的宾语只能用the one

加起来就是that the one

which 也可以代表多项的

eg:A group of men which was suppose arrive.

the one 只能代表单个

eg:The one that was suppose to arrive...
